Anassa closed its doors for the 2019 season on 16 November. After the last guests checked out, the team turned its attention to the season’s capstone: the annual closing party! Thanos Hotels invites Anassa’s team members and their partners for an evening of dining, entertainment, and dancing. After taking their seats in the ballroom, attendees received words of thanks from the managers. Then they were invited to the rotunda to fill their plates from a lavish buffet. During dinner, Tefkros Neocleous and his band provided a medley of musical entertainment. Next came the award of employee recognition prizes and the ever-popular raffle. The dinner concluded when team members lined up to receive a piece of vasilopita cake; the diner who found a coin in her slice received a special prize! After dinner, everyone headed down the hill to Meltemi and the terrace surrounding Mosaics pool. The area was colourfully lit for the occasion, and guests enjoyed drinks from Meltemi, shisha pipes, and music from a DJ. This year guests delighted in a performance by famed Cypriot belly dancer Marietta Soteriou around the pool deck. Though most team members have headed off for their winter pursuits, a core group remains to maintain and upgrade the hotel for the coming season. Anassa opens its doors for the next season on 2 April 2020.
